Various .. (updated)
I came back from Baghdad about 4 weeks ago, but I didn't have internet connection for awhile and I also got busy…
I finished my first term exams, and went to Baghdad to my grandparents house, we had nice vacation for 3 weeks, I love going to my grandparents house and Baghdad, we get the chance to see my relatives, go to restaurants, go shopping, and visit my favorite places, the greatest place I went to is the Lebanese club (such a nice and elegant restaurant) ... and also I enjoyed every minute of shopping.. and I met the new neighbors of my grandparents a young couple and have two adorable kids, I also spent a day with her and her friend, we cooked Dolma together and went shopping, we had lunch at 4 pm! So much fun.
Then when I came to mosul, my family and all of relatives went to congratulate my dad's cousin who graduated from college, it was such a big family meeting.. I can't wait till I graduate :D.
One of the differences between Baghdad and Mosul is, there are very few entertainment places in Mosul, while there are wonderful shops, restaurants, and parks in baghdad, but lately a new small children city in Mosul was built by Investors, its one of the few places people can go to for fun, we went there and it is neat and clean ,but with limited games, few games for young kids, and one game for grownup, which I didn't ride as I fear heights :D
About my results, I am like 90% of my college students, I'll attend the second term exams, so I had a three weeks' vacation and returned to the daily routine and studying and I feel sooo tried from studying , engineering is tuff especially in Mosul university and it's harsh professors, only few students pass the first term (about ten). … before I started to study my friend and I went to college and borrow books, and we went to a nice ice cream shop, and had a lot to talk about , when I was in Baghdad my other friend "N" got engaged and I missed the party, then we went shopping together, we had great time, I love shopping with my friends more ..
My best friend "B", who's my friend since high school also got engaged , it was the best news I received this holiday, I feel so excited and happy for her, and I was the first one she told, how lovely … .. her party was supposed to be last week, but her dad got a serious heart attack and operation while he was traveling outside Iraq two days before the party, so the nishan party was postponed after Eid.. no one of his family , even his son, could get a visa to travel to him, they went through a hard time but thank god he's in a better situation and recovering , we were all praying for him, it's frustrating how Iraqis can't get visa easily to travel no matter what's the case.
