I am happy that you are in Baghdad. I hope you are visiting your grandmother and grandpa. I hope Mama is with you and that she is feeling better. I worry so much about you and her.
Enjoy your visit and write us when you can. We love hearing from you.
tell us all about what you are actually able to see on the ground: how are the Iraqi police, how is the Iraqi Army, are there businesses opened up, is there alcohol, do you see militias, is there any construction going on, what do the people talk about now.. stay safe!!
Hello! It's agentcase again. AO, you need to stop. Seriously! what kind of person are you? You are worse than the anonymous advertisers that leave tons of comments advertising for skin lotions or plastic surgery! Cat
Actually no, AO, I have a xanga, and was a blogger until last year when blogger was updated. So I've been using a xanga, because it does not require an email address. Just a few days ago blogger changed again, and does not allow a non-blogger to use their web page url as a link. And um, you might want to work on the don't-creep-people-out-over-the-internet thing. Just a little. Cat
hi sunshine..i think you have a very proper name....sunshine. I just came upon you blog...and i hads to read some of it...but more than your blog i admire your spirit and courage....i think it is actually due to people like you who are actually able to have hopes and dreams and aspirations in such advsities. I just wish people were like you everywhere....i admire you..keep up th spirit....i wish you a very happy and succesful life. You would live up to be a geat person..just work hard and have a positive outlook like you have now.....som people here in comments actually see this blog as a " ADVENTURE"..i think they are sickk!! do you?
I agree with you MEMEME and some others. Many of us have been reading Sunshine's posts for over two years and have been thankful for her posts that have kept us informed of what is happening there. We love her. But recently this AO has began posting too many things that mean nothing. If you visit his site you'll see it isn't much better. Sunshine needs to delete all of his junk. If not others will stop visiing here.
I think the people who called Sunshine's visit to Baghdad an adventure did so to help the young lady have a positive attitude about her life and help keep her mind off the horrors of war and terrorism.
Sunshine I do think that soon your life will be wonderful when all of Iraq has peace. I think that a bright, caring young lady such as yourself will have a happy and successful future. I feel that the bad things in your life have strengthened your character, making you someone who will be an exceptionally strong woman. DebbieA
Maybe Sunshine's parents left their jobs and brought the whole family to live in Baghdad near her grandparents. I hope they did because Baghdad is said to be much safer now than Mosul.
I hope and pray that Sunshine and her family will be safe, happy, healthy and prosperous.
AO I think you're kind of interesting and funny in your presentation, if maybe a bit chaotic. I figure the point folks are trying to make is you tend to monopolize the replies section. Ah well, to each his own : ) We all look forward to hearing about Sunny's trip. Solo
ooookaaay, AO you're really off it now. Don't ask me what's going on inside that head of yours, you would know best. Iffen you've even got a head between your shoulders. ;) Anyway Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night! Remember the real meaning of Christmas. This is the day we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the Savior of mankind. Isaiah 9:6, Agent Case
This is Sunshine's blog. This is not AO's blog. If AO supports Sunshine he will not try to take over Sunshines blog. The only reason peple come here is to read what Sunshine has to say. We don't come here to read AO's blog. If AO has a comment for Sunshine then that is fine but do not try to ruin what is one of the best blogs to come out of Iraq or anywhere else for that matter. Show some respect for this girl It doesn't matter what AO thinks or me for that matter. It only matters what Sunshine thinks.

Hi Sunshine! This is my first time to be here. And I was so surprised to read your blog. Ididn't know well about what's going on in Iraq. But your blog tells me a lot. I hope you and your family will be doing well. Thank you.
I've heard blogs are still free to start. Why don't you start a blog of your own? Because, honestly, it'd be better than blogging in Sunshine's comment section. And just in case - this is not a place for trolls. So if you happen to be trolling, please take it somewhere else. This blog is a special place.
Our dear sunshine! Please do write soon. Just a short note will do. I (and many others, I'm sure) am praying for your safety, and looking forward to hearing about your time in Baghdad. Please stay safe!
I'm glad you are still safe and well. Best wishes to you and your family for a healthy and safe and successful 2008. I know things are really bad but I do hope that 2008 will be the year when things start getting better again. I will keep praying for you and your family. I fear that is about all I can do.
Well sunshine, keep blogging and I hope Allah keeps you and your family safe. The violence is coming down and I hope it keeps on doing so.
I look forward to your entries. Just know you have fans in India also. ;)
The next part is a bit cliched but then I liked it...

Sunshine, I've just found your blog but find that I will be checking back on a regular basis to hear how things are for you and your family. Please know that there are people praying for you and your family.
I have no idea how i came across this blog but it’s just breathtaking. I think your my new role model know even though your a year younger than me but i feel i can relate to u in so many similar but different ways. I was born in Iraq, i left there when i was 4, went to Jordan, lived there for 2 years., then i left to Canada, lived there for four years and now im in Australia and ive been living here for 7 years. This was all apart of an immigration plan to get out of Iraq and start a better life somewhere else. My mom's side of the family still lives in Iraq, she hasn't seen them in 13 years and i'm dieing to see the place i was born, but we are all afraid of the circumstances there. You remind me so much of how beautiful of a country Iraq is. I feel so bad about the many times I simply criticized it for being a crappy country and for letting other people believe that it was. Your determination to do well in the future is simple wonderful, and I wish you have every much of an opportunity as I have to continue doing what you love. I’d like to talk more, I tried to write a blog…but I don’t think that I have the right to talk about Iraq in the same way you do. I kind of wish i was you. You sound smart, classy and simply like a beautiful person. Thank you.
I was born in 29/1/1992 , I grow up among well educated family.
i am studying engineering now, it was my dream to be an engineer and help in rebuilding my country in the future.
I have many dreams and ambitions, I wish that one day they become true .my mom always support me to accomplish my ambitions …
optimism is my strategy always…
Computer and internet are my life and what I do in my spare time , But if we don’t have electricity, I spend my spare time reading , writing, listening to music and doing some handmade work …
I found that Blogging is a great way to express my thoughts , opinions, & feelings to the world ,to get friends & to share them my happy & sad moments…

anonymous,
you are right.
kiyoshi triggered.
The Chain-Reaction occured in Sunshine blog.
Do you understand, anonymous?
AO
At last,
I am a person, AO, a bird man, a Japanese,,,
Do you understand, anonymous?
AO
kiyoshi has the resposibility of his comment.
He dosen't show his judgement or something.
And Sunshine has the resposibility of this blog.
It's simple...
Do you understand, anonymous?
AO
I always tell something to Sunshine.
So I have the responsibilty of my comments to Sunshine.
But kiyoshi showed his thorught or something to me.
The Cain-Reaction occured.
kiyoshi says nothing...
kiyoshi should have the responisbility of his comment, I think.
What do you think of, kiyoshi?
AO
In any country, if a murderer aim at a person, the risk is similar in Iraq.
For example, King, J.F.K and John were killed in USA.
In Japan, people are killed.
So a life is an ADVENTURE.
Do you understand?
In Japan, the mayor of Nagasaki was killed by a murderer.
So,
Life
Contingency is the Father of Discovery.
Necessity is the Mother of Invention.
Life may be on the Border between them.
Life may be on the Edge of Chaos.
How do you think, kiyoshi?
AO
In Japan, about 30,000 people kill themselves in a year.
What do you think of?
Japan is so dangerous!
AO
Some Japanese police men killed themselves or some soldiers returned from Iraq or somewhere killed themselves.
Ordinary people were killed in some reasons.
Japan is dangerous, too.
AO
Economic wars occur all over the world.
Japan has many victims within the 30,000 people.
AO
Why does kiyoshi say nothing?
You triggered this Chain-Reaction!
AO
I see!
Maybe kiyoshi is wise, so he says nothing!!!
I'm ignorant, so I post many comments.
How do you think, anonymous?
Maybe anonymous are wise, so they use "anonymous".
I understood kiyoshi and anonymous.
You are very wise...
Good bye, anonymous and kiyoshi!!!
Good luck!
But I visit Sunshine blog.
If Sunshine juges that my comments are junks, so I'm flying to somewhere.
It's simple... It's No problem...
AO

Me and my horse Harley decided to ride in and see how you are doing. Been a while.
You should start your own computer repair business!
Harley thinks the mule the soldier is using to pull the buggy is cute.
Harley thinks all girl horses and mules are cute!
