Murder in my neighborhood....

Hello friends
yesterday a murder occurred in my neighborhood, while 2 guys were slinging posters for certain party preparing for the elections , two terrorists started shooting at them, one of them died , & the other was injured so badly, the policemen in my neighborhood chased them , killed one & caught the other ..
Those two terrorists killed innocent poor personnel & injured the other for what? to make that party relinquish it's participation in the Elections ? to disperse panic between Iraqis ? to stop the Elections operation ? none of these would happen, but the consequences are two families left without their breadwinner, more orphans , widows , bereft parents , sisters , brothers , relatives & friends .. & that is all because they were slinging posters on the wall?! …
I can't imagine how remorseless those terrorists are ! …
I pray that one day all the terrorism will fade away , & that we all will live in Peace ….
God Bless all the policemen ….
Sunshine …

I pray the same thing. God is hearing it in both English and Arabic. Let us hope He will show us the way to peace for all.

Dearest Sunshine: I am so sorry to hear about the death of the two men who were doing nothing wrong.

Although I have spent years in combat, in war, I have never before known of people who kill innocent people for no apparent reason. I can not understand it. I am in complete agreement with you.

My prayers are with you, your family and all good Iraqi people.

My hope is for a free, peaceful and prosperous Iraq and it's people.

Every day...

More innocent Iraqis are killed by insurgents. It's such a shame that such valuable, wonderful life is wasted.

And for what reason?

I hope that one day all Iraqis will realize that insurgents are not their friends. They are their killers.

And... turn them into the proper authorities, the Iraqi police.

Well said maddog.

And yes, God bless the policemen. They are clearly doing the right thing, and that is what will stop the bad guys.

Yes, bless the policemen, and support them, Sunshine. If they have the support of the people, they will win, and the terrorists will lose.

Big Pharaoh, is that you? Your profile is blocked :)

Dear Sunshine,
You truely are the sunshine of Iraq. While some of your Iraqi sisters and Brethern bloggers blame the US occupation for every single act of violence, you are able to see these random senseless acts for what they are.
God Bless you Sunshine, you truely are wise beyond your years and the future of Iraq.
With Love and Prayers.
As-salam-alaykum

Sunshine,
I just found your blog through Aunt Najma's carnival of the relatives. I'm so happy I read your blog!

My son was born in 1992 as well. You write SO MUCH better than he does. In the morning (it's very late here, now), I'm going to ask him to read your blog. I think you have a lot to teach my spoiled American boy.

You write as if you are much older than your 13 (almost 14!) years. You indicated that you think that blogging has matured you. Do you think that the security situation has caused you to lose your childhood?

Thank you for being so willing to hear both comments in agreement, and comments which disagree with you. How very mature you are!

My husband is a policeman in the U.S. Navy. Sometimes, he performs more as a military-man, and other-times more as a policeman. I'm not certain which job is more thankless and dangerous. I thank you for your wish for blessings upon the folks who perform such a dangerous job all over the world. I hope that very soon their job will be easier.

Sunshine,
For a long time now, almost since the September 11th attacks, i have wondered what life is like, through the eyes of a teenager like myself. I saw your blog on one of the largest news stations in the United States. I was amazed that someone my age was writing, in english, about their life over seas. I am happy to read your blogs and see that even one person is looking forward with optimism. It is a start. I hope there is a whole generation of you coming. I see we have similar interests; engineering is an ambition we share. I admire your english skills. I am 2 years from graduating high school, and there are students in my english classes who cannot form proper sentences. You are a smart young woman who has inspired me to look toward the future, keep my head high, and know that there are many others around the world who endure much more in one day, than i will in my entire life.

****You inspire me****

Keep your head up. You are an intelligent young woman. I hope you look at my first blog. I think you may like it. :-D

I know your country wants our troops to leave and we want our loved ones home. Most of all we want you and your country to live in peace and freedom. When I read your posts I realize how important your freedom is. You are Iraqs future and feel very happy knowing people like you sunshine will be in charge. You are very sweet and I am so happy to have foun d your voice. Take care and stay safe.
