In a hospital !!! why ?

Hello friends .. today my grandma called from Baghdad to tell us this tragedy story ….
My mom's cousin M , (she is a doctor) went to her job in Al-mahmoodeya hospital , then after few hours , she heard a very loud explosion , it was a bomb car exploded in the hospital , my grandma called her to see how is she doing , did she got hurt or not ? she said …
"I was in the delivery room when one of my patient's just gave birth to a nice healthy baby , then I heard a very loud explosion , & things falling on me , I tried to go out to see what is going on in the hospital, I was covered with blood & I saw horrible views , dead bodies , even some of my friends died" … she said "the national guards were like angels they ِ, helped me & saved my life"…
it was a miracle that she is a life , anyway , Dr. M said that our brave national guards helped her to go out from the hospital , because they had to close some of the hospital's loop-holes , they were expecting another bomb-car ..in her way-out she saw her patient dead (the new mother) …
& that all because the Americans soldiers were in the hospital giving the children toys !!
50 Iraqis died & 4 Americans , that what I heard in the news …
few months a go , her twins (they are 9 years old) were in the school , & a shell felt on their classroom many pupils died , & the others got hurt …
my grandma said that she was hysteric , once she laugh , & then she cry , then she scream ! ..
I am so thankful to see her & her twins a life ….
God bless the national guards..
Sunshine …
Note my mom will write a post about that too …. Check her blog later…

Hi Sunshine,

That's horrible. You really have to wonder what kind of person would bomb a hospital. Even if the bomber was targeting the soldiers, surely he knew scores of other people would be killed, and a hospital used to help the sick and the injured would be damaged.

To quote King Abdullah II after the hotel bombings in Jordan, "these people are insane!"

Keep safe.

Sunshine,

We also ask why. Why do these people blow themselves up and children around them...

Al Qaeda kills little children

As you may have heard, they also recently blew up a wedding party killing the father of the bride and the father of the groom in Jordan.

What is maddening about this, is they think that you will let them take charge.

We will not ever let them take charge. Never. And that is a promise.

These thugs are being supported by Syria and Iran.

SOLUTION
If these car bombs and IED's are to stop, there must be a regime change in Syria and Iran. Even though we have a formidable military, we as a people and a government must convince the people in Syria and Iran to revolt against their regimes. There must be a revolution in those two countries. Or the car bombs and IED's will be harder to stop.

Sunshine: I am sorry about what happened to your aunt, you and other relatives. I will pray for you and your family. No one innocent ever deserves to die in a war. Unfortunately in war, the many suffer for the decisions of the few, which has always made me uncomfortable. May God grant you the strength needed to get through this tough time, take care:) Below, I respond to a comment RG made:

RG: You are telling the truth when you cite those sources, except you are negating the substance of the post; that war causes HUMAN SUFFERING. Many innocent women and children get harmed in war and deserve our prayers. What bothers me about war is often, the many have to suffer for the decisions of the few. Many womens rights groups had been calling for a regime change in Afghanistan for YEARS due to the human and woman's rights abuses. Yet, I find it callous of you to come to this blog and not address the substance of the post and instead, grandstand.

All humans around the world deserve our prayers, not our ire. Our world would be a better place if we could all see that. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.

Mahndisa S. Rigmaiden,

First off, since you are new here, the commenters here do not appreachiate commenters attacking other commenters. This child does not need to see you more conflict than she already is seeing. This is a place of dialog meant to help this child.

However, other than a nice smile that is about all the good you do. You come in here and on your second comment ever, you start attacking commenters. You must be what a lot of people in America call one of our liberal moon bats.

A post made by Sunshine regarding a thug in a car blowing up a hospital with his car bomb and my response offers not only a cause but a solution and then you go off claiming that is grandstanding.

You have a problem with solutions to attrocities. This is not your typical war. You are way, way lost on that Mahndisa S. Rigmaiden. What we have and have had since 9/11 are individuals attacking citizens. Not militaries attacking militaries. That only occurs when taking out state sponsors of these murderous fanatics.

Did you get that straight in your little head Mahndisa S. Rigmaiden? Individuals blowing up men, women and children in large groups.

Syria and Iran are sponsoring this. This WILL HAVE TO STOP and if it takes WAR with Syria and Iran, SO BE IT.

Hello Sunshine,

I am periodic blogger in the State of Texas.
I cannot add much to the previous comments except that I wish we had answers for some of these questions and I am glad to read that your mother's cousin is not physically injured.

I also wanted to thank you for writing this blog. I was told about it this morning and have read through a number of your posts. Please keep this going and keep up the good work, both on this and in school.

Sunshine,

Thank God for her safety !! I've been reporting for almost two years and I've seen such horrible things in front of me. So, I know how she felt and what she saw. God bless her, God bless us all…

jcz,

I see you are a new one too. Also, I see you are a Daily Kos fan and Juan Cole worshipper.

LOL. A red flag went up as soon as you tried to spin Iran's "elections" as fare! LOL!

I am so sorry this has happened. I cannot understand how the terrorists can murder innocent civilians and expect to go to Heaven. The God I know does not approve of this type of activity. They are Hell bound.

I was happy to hear that a Sunni shiek, Muriad al-Oujaili, condemed it also. He said:

The targeting of innocent civilians yesterday cannot be accepted.

This thing about Shiites and Sunnis is new to us in Iraq.

We are all Iraqis and we must stop blaming each other.

I hope all Iraqis will accept his thoughts on this matter.

Thank you Sunshine. Stay safe and may God bless you and all innocent Iraqis.

JCZ,

#we aren't going to do anything
#about Iran.

You don't know what's going to happen with Iran, and neither do I. What point are you trying to make?

Your comments about the draft are not realistic. We could invade Iran (successfully) with the 160,000 troops we have in iraq, right now. We don't need a draft to invade Iran. What we need to invade Iran is a *reason* - one that the American people accept and support. Right now, I'd say we don't have one. But that may change. Their President (who you seem to admire) seems a bit insane to me.

Sunshine, you reported this news hours before I saw it anywhere else. I haven't commented on it, because I just don't know what to say. I wouldn't have commented now, except for I wanted to respond to jcz's comments about the US.

RG: I don't know what you are talking about but just because someone disagrees with your assessments doesn't mean they are liberal, moonbatty or not in reality. I simply stated that I felt it callous that your response was all about atrocities, yet you offered no solace to someone who had experienced an atrocity. No need to insult me. I believe war is a necessary evil, but don't like the human suffering involved and I WILL CONTINUE to believe that as long as I live. Killing innocents is wrong no matter if they are Americans or Middle Easterners. My goal in leaving a comment was to let Sunshine know that people care and that she has our prayers, nothing more. I have alerted the readers of my blog to this blog as well and invited them to pray for her and all others ravaged by the brutality of war. So you need not attack me because I wasn't attacking you; simply I disagreed with some statements you made. That is ALL.

Hi Mahndisa - I visited your blog, and I can't really tell what your politics are, but you certainly don't seem like a "moonbat" to me. And... er... I'm something of an expert at identifying moonbats. I even bookmarked you :)

Mahndisa S. Rigmaiden,

Offerring solace is fine. I have been doing that for sometime. What these people need are solutions. Not just talk. Prayer is fine. I prefer not to talk about it so much. I prefer to act on it. People can walk up to suffering people and say, "Oh, I am so sorry." then try to put God to work by praying about it and then going on our merry way or we can go to work for God relying on Him for guidance and enter the Valley of the Shadows of death to confront evil to save these people who are living in that valley.

War is necessary. The Final Conflict will be war between the ultimate forces of evil. The angels of heaven vs the angels of hell.

Just as Christ defeated the cross adn the evil that put Him there, we will defeat evil, even if it means a coalition going in to Syria and Iran. Then this wonderful family can live life again.

After seeing the havoc that this war has created, the idea of solving the problem with two more wars sounds somewhat unrealistic.

At 8:01 PM, Blogger programmer craig said...

Leroy, there were times in WWII where problems seemed pretty insurmountable as well, and that involved conflicts in dozens of countries, not just two. Or four, for that matter.

It's one war, and it's not over, and it won't be over til we either win or lose it. If we are perceived as being too weak now, with all these problems in Iraq, somebody is going to try and capitalize on that, Leroy. That's just my opinion. But I think it's very unrealistic to think the people who attacked us on September 11th are suddenly going to decide to leave us alone, right when we seem at our weakest. Don't you?

I'm truly sorrow for the horrors you live through. I don't have much to offer but would love to have your flag on my site with the other 96 flags flying there.

You don't have to leave a comment to leave a flag, as you'll see when you get there.

I'll fly your Iraqi flag with honor if you visit. :)

Thank you,
